You get what you pay for. These files are inexpensive and performed the intended job which to file some metal on a firearm. The file surfaces are not completely flat or consistent; however, they did the job. Cheap price and good result. If I were a gunsmith, this would not be the product to purchase but for occasional use, they will do the job.

Good for the price, not great. Uneven tapered ends (even ends that where clearly cut off, some seemed to have been snapped off, due to [most likely] the manufacturing process [made in China]). These are more "fine" then "course" cut files for small works, exactly what I need for jewelery. Light weight, non-slip grip.
The biggest question on my mind is, why are there 3 types of files that are paired? When will I need that second one? If someone does buy it, look at the content on the back of the packaging, it list 10 different (No pairs) files. I would have given this 5 STARS for 10 different files, plus the fact that I have not used all the different files yet - and would have been a good experience.
on a budget? these are good.

This is an awesome little file set at a good price. I bought this file set to work on a paddle I was crafting, and they all work very well. Several different file shapes. Nice stuff here.
