These are for extremely light duty work. The throat is no more than 3/8" and provides almost no clamping force.

I bought these in 2007 and use them to hold cabinets together until the glue dries. I finish nail and glue the wood together. I put the clamps on using a square to make sure the edges are at 90 degrees. I use the clamps an hour until the glue sets up. The clamps make the job very easy.

These things are just about useless. They don't clamp at a true 90 degree angle, and they are poorly constructed. On the positive side, they are really cheap. You get what you pay for....
