 Battery Post and Cable Connector CleanerNov 13, 2010

Years ago I had a battery post and cable cleaner similar to the TEKTON by MIT 5785 4-Way battery Post and Terminal Cleaner. I miss placed that old unit and have always wanted to get another one.
I saw the TEKTON by MIT 5785 4-Way battery Post and Terminal Cleaner and remembering how well my old one worked,I ordered one.
Sadly this unit doesn't cut it. The negative post blade snapped off the first time that I used it, even though I was turning it in the correct direction. ( It must be turned clockwise in order to work properly)
The Positive post cleaner and the Cable clamp cleaners worked as expected.
Care must be taken not to remove too much material from the battery posts and cable clamps. I f too much material is removed, it becomes difficult to properly tighten the clamps on the battery posts

cutters are just not stout enough to ream brass marine cable clamps. Looks sturdy enough but just doesn't get the job done.

This battery cleaner is just like the professionals use from their tow trucks. Small, but does everything you want real quick and fits all batteries. No plastics, so you can drop it without hurting it.
