Looks nice but aren't sharpOct 18, 2010

They look the part, but just aren't sharp enough. I had to really whack them hard with a heavy hammer just to cut through regular gasket material. Then I had to undue the crater surrounding the hole it made. Might as well have used a plain old piece of copper pipe to make the cut. It's a shame 'cause there's so many sizes and (if I can believe it) it's heat treated, which means it will hold its edge, if it were sharper, longer. Tekton/MIT Tools look at best hit and miss as far as quality goes. I've seen this brand alongside Grip Tools, at flea markets and the like and some of it really looks like junk. Often lousy fit and finish. A lifetime warranty is nice feature, but if the tool sucks to start with it means nothing.

Solid qualityJun 30, 2010
By E. Meyers Humbly wrapped with 12 good quality punchers. I've seen somewhere else with similar quality selling for over $30. Very nice tool set.
Nice, but....Nov 18, 2010

The set of punches was exactly what I needed. The description was accurate. The only problem I have with it is that I needed the 9/16" punch immediately for a very delicate job which required a precise cut in a thin waterproof fabric (a scuba dry suit), and this was the only punch in the set that was defective. A small piece of the precisely ground cutting edge was broken off when I received it.
But I had no choice as I needed the dry suit the next day. I used the punch and the bit it didn't cut through, I carefully trimmed off with an exacto knife.
