Not even good scrap metalNov 19, 2010
By J Mueller Total and complete junk, don't waste your money. The first time I used several of the punches the tip broke off with only a slight tap. I know that they were cheap but I have a limited need, however these won't work even one time. I would have returned them but the sat in my shop for a month before use and I had thrown the packing away.

Some of them were ok, most were soft as butter. Heat treating is hit and miss.
The carrier they come in is nice though. lol
Spend little more and get something you can use.

UselessMay 11, 2012

The importance of having a complete set is when you have a 3/8" hole, you can use the 3/8" transfer punch. Yeah about most of mine were dead in one strike. I think these would be OK to use on Wood but even utilizing these on aluminum will dull their points quickly. Any steel just removes the point. Utterly useless for machining.
