I tried a couple and threw the rest outJun 06, 2011
By J. S. Carr When I opened the packaging and there was loose sand in the box I knew something was wrong.
This stuff may cost a fraction of what, for instance, 3M wet/dry does but somehow you get less sanding per $ out of it. It's that bad. I was expecting to wear through it faster but I thought from the other reviews it would at least be useful.
Worst, when the sand / grit gets on other finished surfaces (like your dining room table when you open the box) then the loose grit will scratch other finished surfaces if it's not immediately and thoroughly cleaned.
After trying a couple and realizing how bad they are I thought I could at least get nearly my money's worth even if I had to constantly grab fresh sheets, at least by hand. When I quartered a sheet for my power sander I touched it to the work literally counting 1-2-3 seconds then checked it and a considerable part of the paper was bare that fast (if it was easier to do video I would post a demonstration, that is NOT an exaggeration). Then when my wife set a plate with a PB&J on the table for kiddo's lunch and a piece of loose grit scratched the table. That's when I decided not only was this worthless for a power sander and nearly worthless for hand sanding but it's also a liability so I threw the rest of them out.
You could smear Elmer's on printer paper and sprinkle sand on top and get a more useful product.
Some day I'll learn, you buy cheap you buy twice.

Great product, GREAT priceNov 10, 2010
By C. W. Sayre For the price of FIVE sheets of assorted sandpaper from the bigger brand names, you get FORTY sheets of this Tekton product -- and IMHO it appears to be of the same high quality. Being only an occasional user of sandpaper, I feel I now have a full lifetime supply of all the major sandpaper grits!

Varying strengths and a great priceMar 31, 2011
By Laura Luciano 40 sheets of varying strengths great for many projects. I used it to sand the finish off of an ottoman that I wanted to repaint. The sheets are big, so you have to rip them up, but they work well.
