TEKTON Tubing BenderJun 19, 2012
By Arthur W. Small I recently received a TEKTON 6519 tubing bender from Amazon. I works very well on copper and aluminum tubing. The tubing guide channels have some rough corners that leave marks on the tubing but a little work with a dremel tool solved that problem. The alignment marks on the tool for the angle of the bend are a little off but it is easy to accommodate and obtain good, accurate bends. There seems to be no kinking or flattening of the tubing in the bend. For the price it is an excellent tool.

Descent productFeb 02, 2012
By jacob The thing feels a little chinsy. But it does work for brake lines. If you were bending anyting stronger then brake lines this thing would probably not hold up in the long run.

Tekton tubing benderApr 19, 2012
By CHALK22 This tubing bender was just what I needed to replace the copper tubing on my hand-me-down compressor. The instructions were very easy to follow, and it makes repeatable bends and angles a snap. I gave it 4 stars, as it does make a small indentation on the tubing at the holding point, which I am sure doesn't effect the performance of the tubing, it just looks a little funky. Most people would not notice or care, just something I observed. The price was right, the shipping was fast, and my compressor is up and running!

Works but cheapMar 01, 2012
By 68chevellehardtop This tool does work but within one hour of use I had to fix how the two handles are held together. It completely came apart. After replacing the press pin with a bolt and lock nut I was in business. There are better quality bending tools out there.

IronyApr 07, 2011

The tubing bender allegedly bends tubing. Instead it actually bends itself. The material used to connect the two halves is approximately the strength of beachfront taffy. The only thing bending is the bender itself. Yes, a bit of irony- a tubing bender being bent by tubing.
It's pretty sad that I happened to buy a cheapo from a local discount store, for half the price of this one... that was solidly constructed. Stay away from the Tekton.
