I bought these pliers because they were shown modified on a website to remove the clasp on a front load washer tub. With a little grinding and bending these do the trick.
They seem incredibly sturdy and not cheaply made. Not much play in the item and held up to grinding and bending. Very good product for the money.

I bought this tool because I saw one being used in a video of someone replacing rear drum brakes. In the video it appeared to come in very handy to remove and replace springs that were attached to a stud. On my car (98 Honda Accord) the main spring attached to holes on both shoes. This tool was of no help for this type of setup. The tool seems high quality, and I'll keep it around in case I ever need it. Just be sure this is the one you need.
