Tekton 3492 11-Inch 90-degree Bent Nose PliersAug 22, 2011
By SJK These are actually a decent, well made light to medium duty tool for the money and can be a huge time saver when needed. Yes, they are made in China, but the jaw and tip alignment on these pliers is right on and the small grooved teeth give them good holding power. There is no slop or excess play in the joint and the handles are comfortable with decent non-slip grips. Since I use my tools on the job they need to be durable, so I normally buy them from the major manufacturers. While it's true that Klein, Knipex, Whia, Channellock and others make similar bent nose and straight long reach pliers, they all sell in the forty to fifty dollar range, per pair. Right now, that's just too much money to have wrapped up in specialty tools that I will generally only need to use a few times a year on the job. Maybe if and when the economy turns around, I will be able to throw money around like that, but not now. In comparison, I was able to individually purchase the Tekton 11-inch long 90, 45, 15-degree, straight and duckbill pliers to make a complete 5-piece set, delivered from Amazon for less than the price of one pair of these specialty pliers from any of the major brands mentioned above. Overall I think these pliers are a good value and would recommend them to anyone who needs a pair for occasional use.

These work good but they are not made in the USA. I wish Amazon had a "made in the USA filter".
