Good set for the priceDec 30, 2011
By cordcutter Have been using these hammers for a short time now and are holding up great. No chips coming off the heads and the handle's aren't splitting. You get a fair amount of "feedback" through the handle on hard hits but but nothing uncomfortable.

Well-constructed, but with that Chinese rubber smellDec 11, 2010

I'm pleased with this purchase in terms of value for money. The hammers all seem solidly-built and well-balanced. Two minor points keep this set from rating five stars, in my opinion: one of the ball heads had a bit of a point at the top of its dome, rather than being perfectly hemispherical. This won't matter for the use to which I'll put the hammer (light blacksmithing), but might matter to someone. (This point would be easy enough to grind off, too). Also, the rubber handles have that distinctive Chinese rubber smell (you know, the rubber that smells like gasoline), which takes months to dissipate. Still, I'm happy to have these hammers and would buy them again.
