Does a good job and easy to useDec 03, 2012
By Tour Of The Universe I bought this pipe cutter because I needed to cut a small copper water line. I have to say that the cutter did a nice job and left me with a straight edge. I found it easy to use and it didn't take much effort to cut the pipe. You don't want to go around and around in one direction. What you want to do is go around once and then go back the other way. That way you will get a straight cut. You will have to do this several times before the pipe will be cut. The price on this was good and should last for a good while as it seems to be solidly built. I would buy this again.

Handy in a pinchSep 23, 2011
By Mark I broke the copper line coming out of my master cylinder in my old ford truck, ordered this and a flaring tool so I could fix myself as I was a bit stranded and to buy the whole kit was over 200 bucks.
The tool worked and I was able to get the repair done. Overall, for a small, once in a while kind of job this is fine and will serve you well. The overall quality though is maybe average and its kind of awkward to use this thing so if you think you might use fairly reguarly I would spend a little more.

Does not cut straightJan 19, 2012
By William Spillman The purpose of a pipe cutter, I think, is to cut a perfect right angle, which is hard with a hacksaw. This pipe cutter did not. When I cut pipe with it, it cuts a very slight angle, so that is I spin it the same direction the whole time, it slowly spirals down the pipe, scoring it like threading but doesn't actually cut through. I have to spin it back and forth, one rotation each direction, to actually cut through anything. It cuts tubing straight enough to fit in whatever joint you want to put it in, but if you need a true 90-degree cut, look elsewhere.

don't waste your moneyApr 29, 2013
By O. Carter First off, it won't cut anything over .8 inches, and that is if it even cuts it at all. I knew from the price it was going to be cheap construction, but as I was only using it to cut PVC pipe, I figured it would be ok. Boy was I wrong. as I went to insert the PVC pipe, the roller blade gave this sad little groan, and broke. the tightening cap then came off in my hands, and I was left holding three pieces of what used to be something that resembled a cheap pipe cutter. I jsut threw it in the trash and went to home depot and bought a real one. I'd ask the seller for my money back, but I was so mad that I threw it away, and any company that would sell this crap to people, is the kind of company that would want it returned before issuing a refund. Live, learn, and run from this product.

For the price - excellentDec 10, 2012
By Brenda Schnuelle good tool to have around the house. If you need to do piping. Plus remember if you need to make a clean ROUND cut on plastic pipe (PVC) this is a great choice.
