Access more fasteners!Nov 28, 2011

I have a fair amount of tools but am constantly finding various small things that I lack. Upon trying to remove the headlight assemblies from my Audi S4 in order to change the xenon bulbs, I realized that one of the torx fasteners was nestled under the fender seam, accessible only through a small hole and far too deep for my regular screwdriver. Rather than buying a whole new longer screwdriver, I just picked up this magnetic bit holder and it worked like a charm.
This Tekton product is well-made, with a solid hex shaft and a nice polished bit holder at the bottom. The lower magnetic portion worked well enough for me to carefully lift the long headlight bolt out through the small access hole without losing it.
I am sure I will find many more uses for this product as I continue to tinker with my cars. It can also be used with cordless drills to install and remove screws from deep recesses.
This inexpensive extension comes highly recommended by me.

Well made. Holds up to driving 1/2 inch and smaller tech screws, lags, etc. Lenght is perfect for my work in hard to reach places and fits nicely in the tool belt. Recommend!!!

Anyone with a cordless drill bit set needs one of these. They never come with the sets but are really handy. I keep it in my drill/driver at all times. You'll be amazed how many screws that you need to get at that are recessed farther than the drill driver alone can accommodate.

I've been using a #2 Phillips 6-Inch Power Bit (PH2) with my cordless drill for hard to reach areas in cabinet making and for drywall screws in ceilings. My Dewalt has a lot of torque after a battery charge and breaking a tip off one of those bits was getting expensive at about 5 bucks each (the cheaper ones failed even with low torque). For about the same price I purchased this item so I can get the same 6" reach and use the less costly bulk tips. I can also use my PH2 in it to gain another 6" reach that's great for cabinet work or anything that's in a really hard to reach place. The only issue with it is that it's not perfectly true and there's a slight wobble at the end but I would likely have that after some use but it's so slight it's not an issue. I have to give this 5 stars because it's built as good as my shorter Dewalt holders; the magnet is strong; and it'll save me some bucks quickly because I won't be breaking those longer tips anymore... plus I can now have a total reach of 12" and that's nice.

Served me well with my power drill in deep places like the feet of some sofas, but also where you don't want your drill to abrade with another surface due to the space available. This item is quality made and inexpensive.
