Seriously, it is a metal box that comes with a plastic handle and metal latch. I made a foam insert for the bottom and carved out a shape to hold my rotary tool and some attachments. I couldn't be happier.

The reported dimensions for the tool box are in error. If the dimensions are critical for decision making by a buyer, then the actual dimensions which are

This holds my lunch. Just the right size for an adult to stuff a Thermos, couple of sandwiches, some veggies, fruit, and yogurt. My shifts last 10 hours or more, and I've got to have healthy food. You don't want to eat 2 meals at fast food stands, or eat chips & candy bars all day.

It's just the right size for what I needed, but when I got it, I had to reinstall the metal piece in the locking mechanism. The lid doesn't seem to close securely, so I put a safety pin thru the lock just in case.
