TEKTON 39180 6-Inch by 1.5-Inch Ratchet Bar ClampMay 08, 2012
By Will2628 Very pleased with the clamps I purchased. We make small wooden music boxes and they are helpful in gluing and assembly. We will be purchasing more in the near future.

Sturdy and functional at a great price. It is the perfect size for the smaller "hobby' projects that I use it for. Much cheaper then what I could find it at my local Hardware store.
Very light-dutyApr 13, 2012
By jk202 We needed some inexpensive mini-clamps for hobby work. Because this is for very occasional use, didn't really want to spend a lot of money to buy four clamps that would mostly sit around unused. These are price-wise what we're looking for, but be warned they are VERY cheaply constructed. A couple of screw parts fell off as we lifted them out of the shipping box! (Fortunately we didn't lose them and screwed them back on.)
You get what you pay for...sometimes you settle for the cheapest route when it's not "mission critical."
its okay for light dutyApr 06, 2012

i bought a couple of these as a second and third pair of hands for light furniture assembly, for a painters easel to be exact. its okay for light duty work, ie model making, letting glue set, clamping canvas and so long as the part being clamped is NOT resisting being clamped(items about 5 lbs). the jaw pads are made of plastic, the long bar is metal, both jaw bodies are plastic.
the part with the trigger/ratcheting assembly is especially fragile, as it is held together with small fine screws that can easily be overwhelmed and dont prevent this part from flexing when put under tension. one of the clamps failed after about 20 minutes of clamping force being applied. the rest are holding up for now.
not really a bad buy if you have very light duty tasks for it
Tekton 6 inch bar clampMar 01, 2012
By rwynn These clamps are a very good buy. The clamps are made like the IRWIN 2pk Mini Quick Grip but are only a fraction of the cost. Tekton clamps are will worth the price listed here on amazon....
