 Only has 0.060" and 0.090" tipsNov 17, 2011

My wife ordered the parts to replace the belt, rollers, and teflon bearnings in her Maytag Neptune dryer.
I was supposed to order the snap ring pliars.
I ordered the Tekton 5 piece set.
The dryer snap ring wants 0.050" pliars and these were all too big. They did not fit. I could not use these pliars, as the tips were all too large, so I resorted to something else, using very pointy needle nose pliars instead.
The Tekton pliar tips were stamped sheet metal [not machined or ground], with rectangular cross section that measured .008" out of round.
Looking at Aconring snap ring company on line, they sell rings with the little holes at; .029", .039", .045", .060", .076", .091", and .108".
What does it all mean?
If you buy this set of (5) pliars with .060" for (3) of them and .090" for (2) them, you will be ready for two of the seven possible sizes of snap rings.
You chances of getting a fit are 29%. Good luck.

These pliers are a very welcome assortment for the average user of special tools. I just happen to be retired from a long career of repairing automobiles. Some of my employees borrowed my tools and forgot to return them. Have you ever heard that? Today, I need to use tools much less but it is always wonderful to have the right tool at the right time. Keeps the world ticking!
