TEKTON by MIT 1012 1/4-Inch and 3/8-Inch Drive Socket Set, SAE/Metric, 40-pc.Jun 08, 2011

Buy it for the sockets, not the ratchet.
The ratchet has a plastic reversing switch and twisted off after a single use.
I have never seen such cheap construction in a ratchet before!
Buyer beware!!!

Honestly Better than Expected - Great for Small RepairsNov 08, 2011
By Dylan When I was going to purchase a socket set for an emergency set in my car, I shopped around Amazon for a long time. The prices varied drastically from upwards of $40-50 for a small set and to this set at $8.99.
My first impressions were very grim since the set was so cheap (I like craftsman tools) and that the prior person had written a bad review. However, I didn't want to fork over more than $15 on a set, so I decided that this was the set to try, then return if it wasn't up to par.
Well, after receiving the package and testing, the set is way beyond expectations. Obviously not Craftsman level of tools, but still a competent set. I will note that the socket handle is a bit on the thin side, but for the most part, the set is very adequate for small jobs that don't require large amounts of torque. The only addition I will add will be a spark plug socket to finish off the kit.
If you have any doubts like I had, I'd recommend this kit for the person who will do small projects at under 15ft lb. of torque. Great for emergencies and the sockets are good quality. Would Higly Recommend, don't be fooled by the prior person's review!

By Michael Beloved Reasonable for the price. Case is efficient and keeps everything neat. The rachet won't take much pressure but it is a deal for the price.
Cheaply built, breaks easily.Nov 13, 2011
By seloc While using this set in a typical application I actually had a socket break in half. This is a low cost set, and that is reflected in the quality.
