Solid Box SawNov 28, 2011
By Morgue I was looking for an inexpensive saw to cut down some limbs in my backyard. I didn't want to spring for a chainsaw, but I didn't want a hacksaw that I would have to buy other pieces to either.
I found this saw, it was inexpensive, and it looked like it would do the trick so I bought it. I have been very pleased with this saw, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a hacksaw alternative.
The blade has solid teeth that are spaced and shaped to cut both ways. They are also tempered so they are more durable which is excellent. After cutting several limbs, the teeth were still very sharp to the touch which impressed me for such an inexpensive saw.
The metal is flexible but solid, which is exactly what you want in a box saw. The handle is comfortable, and the saw comes with a plastic cover for the blade to use when you store it which is a nice bonus.
