By J. Skilton Wanted some basic chisels for light work and to leave out on the bench in case the kids need one (the good ones are put away). These fill the bill.
The description says, 'Hardwood Handles and Chrome Plated Steel Ferrule on Top of Handle to Prevent Splitting...' A ferrule is a band. On these, a very thin metal band about 1/4" from the top end. Mine are black, not chrome, cheap-looking, and not fitted or secured all that well. The hammer end is plain wood.
I always try to find some good in everything, and for light careful use, like installing a deadbolt, these would be fine. For your primary set however, spend a little more and get better.
